Job Overview

Reporting to the Regional GeneralManager: Operations & Strategic Projects, the Maintenance Coordinator isresponsible for coordinating and performing preventative and correctivemaintenance activities across ACE Casino properties. This role ensures thesafe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems, equipment, andfacilities through preventative maintenance, repairs, contractor coordination,regulatory compliance, and project support.

The Maintenance Coordinator worksclosely with internal stakeholders, and external service providers to minimizedowntime while maintaining a safe, comfortable, and exceptional guestexperience.

 Responsibilities & Duties

Facility Operations & BuildingMaintenance

        Maintain the safe, efficient,and reliable operation of all casino buildings, facilities, grounds, andproperty infrastructure.

        Receive, prioritize, schedule,and monitor maintenance work orders.

        Perform general buildingmaintenance including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and mechanicalrepairs.

        Assist with landscaping,irrigation, exterior maintenance, and seasonal property upkeep.

        Support event setup andteardown activities as required.

        Administer the ComputerizedMaintenance Management System (CMMS).

        Maintain accurate equipmentasset records, preventative maintenance schedules, and repair histories.

        Ensure maintenancedocumentation/reports are complete, accurate, and audit-ready with focus oncontinuous improvement.

        Respond to emergencymaintenance situations including equipment failures, flooding, power outages,and other facility emergencies with focus on business continuity.

        Coordinate daily maintenanceactivities and provide guidance to maintenance personnel as required.

        Communicate maintenancepriorities, project updates, and operational issues to management.

        Collaborate effectively withOperations, Surveillance, Security, IT, Food & Beverage, Finance, andexternal contractors.

Preventative Maintenance

        Develop, adapt, coordinate, andexecute preventative maintenance programs for all building systems andequipment to improve lifespan, reduce downtime and increase efficiency-aligning with manufacture recommendations/warranty as necessary.

        Perform weekly, monthly,quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance tasks of buildingsystems, equipment and property including routine inspections with focus ofcontinuous improvement and safety.

Repairs & Troubleshooting

        Identify, diagnose,install/replace/repair and address all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, andfacility concerns/projects using appropriate testing equipment, diagnostictools, maintenance and root cause identification as necessary, scheduled ordirected.

        Respond promptly to emergencymaintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.

Contractor & Vendor Management

        Act as the primary site contactfor contractors, consultants, vendors, and service providers to coordinateinstallations, inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, warranty work,and building upgrades.

        Monitor contractor performanceto ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and inaccordance with ACE Casino standards via confirmation work for quality,compliance, and operational readiness.

Inventory & Procurement

        Prepare Bills of Materials(BOMs) for maintenance projects.

        Identify required materials,parts, tools, and equipment prior to commencing work.

        Coordinate the identificationof procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.

        Maintain appropriate inventorylevels to support daily operations.

        Obtain quotations and assistwith purchasing maintenance-related goods and services.

 

Project Responsibilities

        Coordinate scheduledmaintenance shutdowns and emergency repair projects.

        Participate in facilityrenovations, equipment replacements, and capital improvement projects.

        Assist in developing projectscopes, schedules, and contractor requirements.

        Coordinate project activitiesto minimize operational disruption.

        Support infrastructureimprovements across multiple ACE Casino properties throughout Alberta.

Multi-Site Support

        Provide maintenance and supportactivities across multiple ACE Casino properties and affiliated businessesthroughout Alberta.

        Travel between locations tosupport maintenance activities, capital projects, and emergency repairs.

        Overnight travel may berequired depending on operational and project requirements.

 General

        Other duties as assigned ordirected.

Overview of Building SystemsManagement

Coordinate the maintenance, repair, andoperation of:

        HVAC systems

        Boilers and chillers

        Plumbing systems

        Electrical distribution systems

        Fire alarm and life safetysystems

        Security and access controlsystems

        Building automation systems

        Water distribution systems

        Commercial kitchen equipment

        General facility infrastructure

Education & Experience

        High school diploma orequivalent.

        Minimum three (3) years ofexperience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, orproperty operations.

        Experience within thehospitality, gaming, entertainment, hotel, or commercial facilities industry isconsidered an asset.

        Experience coordinatingpreventative maintenance programs, work order systems, and contractors ispreferred.

        Journeyperson certification inElectrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Millwright, or another related trade is consideredan asset but is not required.

 Skills & Abilities

        Working knowledge of commercialbuilding operations and maintenance practices.

        Intermediate knowledge of andability to diagnose and trouble shoot systems and equipment:

o   Electrical systems

o   Carpentry

o   Painting and finishing

o   Commercial kitchen equipment

o   Fire life safety systems

        Working knowledge ofpreventative maintenance principles and asset management.

        Ability to interpret equipmentmanuals, blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.

        Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems(Limble preferred).

        Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.

        Strong organizational, planning/prioritize,manage time, with high attention to detail and quality workmanship.

        Ability to prioritize multiplecompeting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

        Strong customer service skillswith the ability to interact professionally with guests, contractors, and teammembers.

        Ability to work independentlywhile contributing effectively within a team environment.


Requirements

        Valid unrestricted AlbertaClass 5 Driver's Licence with provision and annual update of a satisfactorydriving record.

        Must have and maintain a clearpolice background review. May be required to provide annual updates.

        Must be a minimum of 18 yearsof age.

        Be available to respond toemergency maintenance issues outside regular business hours, includingevenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and on-call assignments as required.

        Travel between ACE Casinoproperties and affiliated businesses throughout Alberta, including overnighttravel when operationally required.

        Participate in the on-callrotation as required.

 Certifications

        WHMIS Certification (or abilityto obtain upon hire).

        Calid and recognized StandardFirst Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset.

        Fall Protection, Elevated WorkPlatform (Scissor Lift), Forklift, and Confined Space certifications areconsidered assets.
