Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr UKG System Analyst for a Contract to hire assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Dallas, TX .
Responsibilities :
  • This role is responsible for the day to day support, maintenance, and optimization of the UKG Workforce Management system. The individual will manage core functions such as timekeeping, attendance, time off, and payroll support, ensuring that employee time data is accurate and aligns with business rules and compliance requirements. They will troubleshoot system issues, support manager workflows and web punching, and help maintain overall system stability.
  • A significant portion of the role involves hands on system configuration. This includes setting up and maintaining pay rules, accruals, attendance policies, and advanced scheduling configurations such as rotations and coverage. The individual will also manage security roles and permissions, perform system updates, and handle detailed configuration changes and cross references to ensure the system reflects current business needs.
  • The role also supports integrations and data integrity across systems. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting interfaces, validating data using SQL, and ensuring accurate data flow between UKG and other platforms. In addition, the individual will provide support for timeclock hardware, including occasional onsite troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Beyond technical responsibilities, this person will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. They will gather requirements, translate business needs into system configurations and functional specifications, and communicate changes effectively to end users. The role also involves training and supporting users, collaborating with team members on system enhancements, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and system performance.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems, system implementation, testing, installation, and training
  • Hands-on experience with UKG Workforce Management (WFM), including:
    *Timekeeping configuration and support
    *Attendance (points) management
    *Advanced scheduling (patterns, rotations, coverage)
    *Timeclock setup, maintenance, and support
  • Strong system configuration experience, not just end-user or support-level exposure
  • Experience with workforce operations, including payroll-related processes and time tracking
  • Working knowledge of SQL for Data validation, Reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with UKG-related tools and features, such as Geofencing configuration, UKG EZCall / Dell (scheduling tools), Boomi (or similar) integrations
  • Integration experience, including supporting or maintaining system interfaces
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in system configuration and data accuracy
  • Ability to support hardware components, including timeclocks
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
