Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff Oxygen System Analyst (Level 5) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in oxygen system analysis to support the design, testing, and validation of aircraft oxygen systems, playing a key part in advancing Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems' mission. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure system safety, reliability, and performance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain expertise in OBOGS systems, high-pressure gaseous oxygen systems, contamination control, and oxygen hazard analysis.
  • Apply experience in designing, manufacturing, and conducting test validation for oxygen systems.
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot aircraft oxygen systems and components, including regulators, valves, masks, and cylinders.
  • Produce detailed documentation, technical reports, and safety reviews.
  • Participate in trade studies of oxygen system designs, providing data and solutions to address design and fabrication issues.
  • Attend and present at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and formal program milestone reviews to provide and receive progress updates.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and diverse work environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work with minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 12 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and/or following up with suppliers.
  • Experience with high/low pressure valves, and/or oxygen architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active US Government Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with the design, analysis and integration of aircraft systems.
  • Experience in designing, manufacturing, and conducting test validation.
  • Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting aircraft oxygen systems and components (regulators, valves, masks, cylinders).
  • Extensive experience developing documentation, technical reports, and safety reviews.
  • Experience with NX and/or CPLM
  • Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions, within cost and schedule constraints, across the various phases of the engineering lifecycle.

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
