Job description

About the Role:
Baird's Operations Department ("Ops") is the best kept secret in the financial services industry and plays a critical role to the success and growth or the firm. They partner with the different business and functions within Baird with the goal of driving efficiencies and reducing risk to the firm. The Commissions and Advisory Billing team supports both advisory and brokerage business, managing the processes that ensure advisors are compensated accurately and timely. As an intern, you'll assist with processing commissions statements and assisting financial advisors with questions on policy and commission payments.
This internship requires working full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week, in our downtown Louisville, KY office. We are seeking a local student who can start in January 2027 or earlier.

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, finance, business analytics, economics, information technology management, information systems, or related degree preferred
  • Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later

  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage priorities to meet specific deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
  • Strong client service, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Interest in technology such as coding (ex. SQL, VBA) and visualization tools (ex. PowerBI) a plus
