If you enjoy solving real construction challenges, working directly with contractors, and leading the architect’s role during construction, this is an opportunity to step into a leadership position and help guide how projects are delivered.

Position Overview:

As Construction Administration Manager at Identity Architects, you will oversee construction‑phase services and represent the architect in the field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real construction challenges, working directly with contractors, and seeing projects move from drawings to reality.

Qualifications:
  • Experience
    • 8–10+ years in construction administration or construction‑phase project management
    • Proven experience with U.S.-based commercial projects
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and design intent
    • Experience with AIA contract documents and construction documentation
    • Familiarity with IBC and other applicable building codes
  • Tools & Technology
    • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam
    • Experienced with construction management platforms such as Procore
  • Skills & Attributes
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, clients, and design teams
    • Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail
    • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Architectural licensure is welcome but not required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Construction Administration
    • Manage construction‑phase services across multiple commercial and healthcare projects
    • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and alignment with design intent
    • Support project closeout and final documentation
  • Represent the Architect in the Field
    • Act as the architect’s primary voice during construction
    • Lead communication and coordination with owners, contractors, and consultants
    • Lead Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetings
  • Review and Manage Construction Documentation
    • Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders
    • Review pay applications and monitor construction progress
    • Conduct site visits, punch list inspections, and substantial completion reviews
  • Manage and Mentor CA Staff
    • Lead, guide, and mentor construction administration team members
    • Help improve the firm’s construction administration systems and processes
  • Identify construction risks and coordinate solutions
  • Work directly with contractors to resolve site conflicts and keep projects on track
  • Ensure quality and successful project outcomes
