Job description

HR & Administration Manager
Carrollton, TX | Onsite
Full-Time | Direct Hire
$105K–$115K

Imprimis Group is partnering with an established and growing commercial construction company in Carrollton to hire an experienced HR & Administration Manager. This is a highly visible, hands-on opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys owning the full employee lifecycle, building strong relationships across an organization, and serving as a trusted resource to both leadership and employees.

This position will function as the company's HR department of one, supporting approximately 100 employees across field and corporate operations. The HR & Administration Manager will inherit established HR processes, systems, calendars, and procedures while taking ownership of day-to-day HR operations, recruiting, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, highly organized, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong HR Generalist or HR Manager who wants broad ownership and direct impact within a stable organization that values and invests in its employees.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee development, retention, and offboarding.
  • Lead recruiting efforts for field, supervisory, and corporate positions.
  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leadership.
  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate annual open enrollment.
  • Manage workers' compensation, disability, leave, and return-to-work processes.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Maintain personnel files, HR records, I-9 documentation, and required compliance records.
  • Support performance management, employee evaluations, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Maintain company licenses, registrations, permits, certifications, and renewal schedules.
  • Coordinate training, safety, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain and update company policies and the employee handbook.
  • Prepare HR and administrative reports and track key workforce metrics.
  • Support leadership with administrative projects and company initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR and administrative processes while maintaining effective existing practices.

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of broad, hands-on HR experience; candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience independently managing multiple HR functions or working within a lean HR environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting a field-based or hourly workforce is highly desirable.
  • Construction, HVAC, manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or similar industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to anticipate deadlines and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Resourceful, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to research issues and take initiative.
  • Confident and professional communication style with the ability to effectively partner with employees and senior leadership.
  • Genuine employee-service mindset and willingness to provide hands-on support when needed.
  • Ability to learn new HR and business systems quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • SHRM or PHR certification is a plus, but not required.

Systems: Experience with Kronos, HH2, Sage/Timberline, and/or PurelyHR is helpful but not required. Candidates should be comfortable learning new systems and working across multiple HR and administrative platforms.

Why You'll Love It: This is an opportunity to join a financially stable, growing organization with an established HR foundation already in place. You'll have significant ownership of the HR function while working closely with company leadership and employees throughout the organization.

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
  • Multiple Cigna medical plan options.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability.
  • Employer-paid life insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • 16 days of PTO annually for employees with 1–9 years of service.
  • 8 paid company holidays.
  • Tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually.
  • Employee referral bonus program.
  • Additional voluntary insurance options.

The organization also has a strong track record of rewarding performance through merit increases, annual bonuses, and opportunities for advancement.

If you're an HR professional who thrives on ownership, enjoys being close to the employees you support, and wants the opportunity to make an impact across an entire organization, we'd love to hear from you.

How to Apply: Qualified candidates are encouraged to email their resume to recruiting@imprimis.com for consideration.
