Job Description

* Expert level knowledge of Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 including installation, configuration, and upgrading

* Ability to perform advanced Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 Server activities 

* Highly proficient in Windows support and architecture 

* Experience installing, configuring, and supporting servers, computers, network hardware, and peripheral devices 

* Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems, and applications using standard industry best practices 

* Experience in Business Continuity, and Virtual Machine distribution 

* Ability to manage workload and assignments for US and India teams 

* Conduct Team Lead responsibilities including: maintain on-call rotation, chair/lead team meetings, SRM report review with the customer, MPR management 

* Ability to serve as a technical escalation point in support of high risk, complex operational challenges 

* Ability to design IT architectures and implement complex customer environments solutions based Microsoft Products. 

* Ability to design IT architectures and implement complex customer environments solutions based VMware Products. 

* Ability to maintain ESX hosts current on releases/patches and firmware upgrades 

* Ability to identify and resolve virtual, network, and hardware related system performance problems 

* Holder of relevant Technical Certifications 

* In depth understanding of supporting technologies: IIS, WINS/DHCP/DNS, Anti-Virus, Systems Management, Optimization Tuning, High Availability configurations (Microsoft Clustering, etc.) 

* Hands-on, in-depth expertise with Microsoft Windows Architecture - SQL Server, Active Directory (AD) 

* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, WINS, and DHC 

* Knowledge of SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 administration (migrations, clustering a plus) 

* Experience with Clustering Services / High availability system 

* Experience with Backup software such as TSM 

* Experience with Antivirus programs, Spam Filters, and Web monitoring 

* Ability to consult on design, and implementation of Virtualization Technology and Server Consolidation Strategies 

* Advanced experience maintaining, configuring and installing in Active Directory 

* Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary 

* Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required 

* Be able to use open-source tools to measurecapacity planning and to troubleshoot resource problems 

* Ability to Analyze system log files 

* Ability to Analyze application log files 

* Knowledge and experience with storage systems (SAN)

* Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills 

* Adherence to standards processes and procedures (ex. change management, incident management, security, etc.)
