The work
The SAP Basis Admin Consultant provides SAP Basis technical support including system administration, performance monitoring, transport management, system upgrades, and technical troubleshooting. They are responsible for system configuration, performance tuning, transport management, backup/recovery, system monitoring, incident resolution, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer SAP systems and perform configuration activities
  • Monitor system performance and execute tuning across SAP and HANA environments
  • Manage transport processes across the SAP landscape
  • Execute backup and recovery procedures to maintain system resilience
  • Monitor systems proactively and resolve incidents efficiently
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, dashboards, and runbooks

Here's what you need:
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP Basis and SAP Basis Administration
  • Strong knowledge of HANA database management
  • Experience with system performance optimization across SAP application and DB layers
  • Proficiency in transport management and SAP change control processes
  • Experience performing backup/recovery operations and utilizing monitoring tools

Nice to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Experience supporting SAP IS-U utility environments
  • Experience contributing to system upgrade programs or modernization efforts
  • Experience developing technical runbooks or operational dashboards for SAP Basis
