Job description

We are looking for an experienced, driven Structural Engineer with a wealth of experience and knowledge in structure design. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be comfortable splitting their hours between managing projects and hands on design and analysis.

The Sr Structural Engineer should be a critical thinker and have a sound subject knowledge of mathematics and physics to identify and solve engineering problems. Recent experience with commercial vertical structures, both high-rise and low rise, is key to success in this role.

You must also possess a level of creativity in order to present innovative solutions and improvements to technical processes. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate ideas, make recommendations, and negotiate project details with their team, subcontractors, and clients.

We are seeking an energetic structural engineer, to join a growing team in Las Vegas Nevada.

  • Prepare structural calculations and drawings under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Building and testing design computer models. Verifying all info with hand calculations
  • Work effectively in a teamwork environment, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license SE (Structural Engineer) or PE (Professional Engineer) strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of Structural Engineering and Design experience
  • Familiarity with design software, such as Autodesk, AutoCAD, or Bentley.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.
  • Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
