Job description

The Sales Analyst plays a vital role in assisting the Sales Team with sales planning, forecasting, and analysis by providing insights through report generation and strategic data analysis. This role serves as the focal point for answering questions related to customer contracts, pricing, and terms, while supporting customer requests and providing overall administrative support to internal and external teams. The Sales Analyst acts as a super-user for Oracle JD Edwards and EPM reporting, planning, and analytics software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Analysis: Accurately generates and processes weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc sales reports. Collects and analyzes sales data to report revenues and projections at the global, entity, channel, and customer levels.
  • Performance Tracking: Prepares monthly regional reports, including revenue management, customer order analysis, and sales incentive calculation reports for individual and team production.
  • Data Integrity & Maintenance: Validates and maintains customer and item master data, initiating necessary changes to ensure accuracy. Maintains and updates customer pricing and creates databases to secure confidential information.
  • Strategic Support: Produces data and reports used to create the Strategic Sales Plan, Sales Forecasting, and Supply Chain/Operations Planning to help determine appropriate sales and production goals. Prepares data and PowerPoint presentations for leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Supports North American sales functions, including profitability, product classification, and product onboarding for Sales and Product Management. Manages interfaces across various departments and systems.
  • System Ownership: Utilizes Oracle JDE, ReportsNOW, Oracle EPM, and PowerBI to provide actionable data. Assists the IT department with software upgrades, coordinates system training, and manages the input of historical data for future forecasting.
  • Team Alignment: Reports to the Director of OEM Sales while supporting international aftermarket field sales teams, corporate staff, and independent sales representatives.
