Job description

Tool & Die Maker
Join our Client and play a key role in keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently. This is an opportunity to apply your tool-making and machining expertise in a hands-on environment focused on quality, safety, and production support.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
-Build, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve stamping dies, tools, fixtures, and related manufacturing equipment.
-Set up and operate tool room equipment, including mills, surface grinders, lathes, and manual or CNC machinery.
-Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, customer drawings, specifications, and tooling documentation; use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
-Diagnose tooling issues, perform preventive maintenance and repairs, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Tool Room teams to minimize downtime.
Required Skills & Experience
-Experience in a tool room, metal stamping, machining, or manufacturing environment.
-Ability to work from prints, sketches, and blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
-Knowledge of safe tool room practices, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and applicable safety
procedures.
-Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, problem-solving, attention to detail, and basic computer skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
-Journeyman Tool & Die Maker, Mold Maker, or equivalent tool and die training/experience.
-CNC programming/operation, CAD/CAM experience, and familiarity with SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar industry software.
Pay Rate Range: $30/hr+
