Position Summary Information
Job Description SummaryProvide admin/office support to the Wind Symphony
Responsibilities• Serve as the liaison between ensemble members and the Director of Winds & Brass/Wind Symphony Conductor
• Assist the Director of Winds & Brass with administrative tasks and special projects
• assist with rehearsal and performance logistics with faculty, staff, and external partners
• Help organize and run placement auditions for large ensembles during the summer
• Hire outside musicians as needed for orchestral performances
• Work with Musco Center staff on performance logistics, as needed
• Assist librarian(s) in the preparation and distribution of orchestral materials
• Plan, organize, and implement special events
• Execute other duties as assigned by the Director of Winds & Brass
• Ensemble responsibilities (attendance, management, seating chart, etc.)
Required Qualifications - Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications - Music major or minor; member of Chapman's Wind Symphony
