Job description

We are seeking experienced, member-driven candidates with a passion for technology for the position of Programmer Analyst.

This role is responsible for key technical functions in the designing, architecting, developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions to support the daily operations and growth of Justice Federal. Ability to work independently with superior problem solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

This position may be eligible for a fully remote work arrangement based on the selected candidate's location and business needs. Employees who reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a Justice Federal Credit Union worksite will be expected to comply with the organization's hybrid work schedule upon becoming eligible for telework. Reasonable commuting distance will be determined by the Credit Union based on factors such as travel time, distance, and operational needs.

Key Job Functions:

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the Symitar core banking platform, including its modules, features, and integration capabilities. 
  • Stays abreast of the latest enhancements, version releases, and industry trends related to Symitar.
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding efficiencies and improvements in processes, procedures, programming,
  • and technologies within the department.
  • Researches new tools, methodologies, and designs patterns within the Episys ecosystem and promotes adoption to the
  • department.
  • Designs, develops, and implements complex software applications and systems tailored to meet the unique requirements of Justice Federal.

Required Travel: 

  • Ability to travel to up to 10%.

Technical Requirements: 

  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum), web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular), and web services (e.g., RESTful APIs).
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps.
  • Experience of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, MySQL) 
  • Excellent understanding of software testing and debugging techniques.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Three to eight years of similar or related experience. Prior experience in a financial institution is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed, and requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax, etc.
