SXSW Exhibitions Support Intern
Job Purpose
The SXSW Exhibitions Support Intern will work alongside the Exhibitions, Partner Operations, and Account Management teams in preparation for the March event. This role will provide exposure to the different facets of SXSW, including special events, brand activations, and exhibitions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who would like to gain experience in event production and enjoys splitting time between in-office projects and on-site event execution.
What You Will Learn
  • What the process of event production, planning, and operations looks like
  • Pre-event logistic prep and on-site execution during the festival
  • Sales Operations and client outreach skills
  • Reviewing and organizing client deliverables
  • Basic data analytics, data entry, and audits
  • Saas platforms such as HubSpot, Airtable, and ExpoFP
  • Introductory project coordination skills
  • The importance of teamwork, organization, and problem-solving.

Qualifications & Skills
To qualify for a SXSW Internship, you must reside in Texas and be enrolled in an accredited university or college for the entire internship.

Work Location, Schedule & Pay
This position is located in Austin, Texas. Time commitment is a maximum of 16 hours per week. Availability of 40 hours per week during the event may be required. Core business office hours are Mon-Fri, 10 am - 6 pm CT. This position requires living and working in Austin, Texas. This is a paid internship at $12.00/hr.
