We proudly offer an array of services designed to empower homeowners' associations, municipalities, and private clients. Our offerings encompass swim lessons, swim team development, lifeguard management, and private lifeguard services, ensuring that every pool becomes a haven of safety and joy. Our dedicated team operates with integrity and transparency, delivering customized solutions, including adaptable workplace safety training. With years of expertise and an enduring commitment to safety, Swan Aquatics stands as your trusted partner in fulfilling all aquatic training needs.

Role:

The Swim Instructors play a pivotal role in overseeing, directing, and guiding both individual and group participants as they strive to reach their personal and collective aquatic goals. They skillfully develop and implement tailored workouts and comprehensive program designs that cater to their clientele's unique needs and aspirations. Each session is thoughtfully planned, with progression goals meticulously crafted to ensure continued growth and achievement in a supportive and motivating environment. Availability to work Saturday through Tuesday. Benefits for employees averaging 30 hrs/week, and who work year-round roles are eligible for medical benefits. Swan Aquatics covers 60% of the premium.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supports The Swimming Swan LLC's mission statement and the facility's goals.
  • Plans, organizes, and leads lessons in accordance with the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program.
  • Monitors pool-related activities closely throughout shifts and identifies any safety/hazard issues. Uses judgment to determine if swim lesson students are safe and properly conducting themselves.
  • Directs swimmers out of the pool and/or to clear the deck during hazardous conditions.
  • Monitors weather reports closely to ensure the safety of swim students. Adheres to and upholds The Swimming Swan LLC. "Inclement Weather" policies and procedures.
  • Completes and submits incident reports and documentation forms when applicable.
  • Assists swim lesson students when appropriate or necessary.
  • Completes the "Certificates of Achievement" for all the American Red Cross Learn to Swim students.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years old minimum.
  • Current and Valid ARC or equivalent certification preferred, including but not limited to: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED.
  • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred for a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
  • All applicants are subject to background screenings.
  • Strong customer service background preferred.
  • Special needs/adaptive aquatic teaching experience preferred.
  • Comfortable with working with all ages/abilities.
