Job description

This position is responsible for maintaining residential and commercial swimming pools through routine cleaning, water testing, chemical balancing, equipment inspections, and basic troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is dependable, able to work independently, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining high-quality pool care standards.

Daily responsibilities include performing weekly pool maintenance services such as skimming debris, brushing pool walls and tile, vacuuming, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, and cleaning or backwashing filters as needed. Technicians will test and balance pool water chemistry using the appropriate chemicals and ensure pools remain clean, safe, and properly functioning. This role also includes inspecting pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, timers, and automation systems to identify potential issues or repairs that may be needed. Technicians are expected to communicate findings clearly with office staff while maintaining accurate service records.

Swimming Pool Service Technicians will operate company vehicles daily and are expected to maintain a clean, organized vehicle and work environment. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including high temperatures, and must be able to safely handle pool chemicals and equipment. The position requires frequent walking, bending, lifting, and standing, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Previous pool service experience of a minimum of two (2) years is required, as training may be provided for the right candidate. Applicants should possess strong time management skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to complete routes efficiently and independently. A valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record is required. Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with pool equipment are considered a plus.
