From Distribution solutions, consolidation services, cross-docking/transloading, our proprietary technology allows us to be efficient and agile in all processes.

 

Position Summary:

Logistics Clerk III is responsible for ensuring the teams are working together efficiently and efficiently to meet the goals of the organization. This position will be responsible for successful performance related to the aspects of transportation needs across the facilities including driver experience, and yard accuracy while performing as a leader within the team and providing continuous communication with off-site supervisors regarding performance gaps, attendance concerns, staffing needs or schedule changes for logistic employees based in the Texas facilities. This liaison task should be carried out while upholding high standards and fostering teamwork and unity within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage professional relationships with onsite drivers. 
  • Ensures Resolution of internal and external questions and inquiries. 
  • Provide conflict resolution with onsite carriers and provide communication as needed to the logistics Supervisor. 
  • Assist the scheduling team to resolve issues that occur during check-in and at the dock. 
  • Manage leased trailer pool: procuring, inventory and exiting lease. 
  • Responsible for morning gate and warehouse opening. 
  • Monitor reports to track and maintain accurate information. 
  • Assist Manager with monitoring shuttle functions by reviewing needs list and communicating with company leaders providing necessary reporting and delegation throughout the team. 
  • Ensure yard accuracy for drop trailer program and manage daily yard audits for preloading assignments. 
  • Recognize and resolve scheduling issues and/ or conflicts within the WMS system. 
  • Resolve past due appointments, as needed outside Wichita Support Center hour or availability. 
  • Assist with driver check in as needed. 
  • Assist Manager with rollout projects to ensure departments are aligned with organization expectations. 
  • Ensure expedites are prepared in a timely manner and shipped completed. 
  • Maintain up to date processes and procedures. 
  • Identify errors and gaps in processes. 
  • Develop and assist in new improvements and processes. 
  • Provide training in conjunction with quality assurance protocols. 
  • Assist warehouse supervisors with the tools and reports needed to keep their departments organized in the aspects of transportation. 
  • Provide corrective actions to mitigate errors. 
  • Guides logistics team to ensure we are compliant in following all procedures and Best Practices and other duties and project work as assigned by manager.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in logistics or supply chain
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Must have a valid Driver's license for mobility between local warehouses

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Logistics and / or Supply Chain Management,
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
  • High degree of organization, prioritization, and time management
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Ability to self-manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously in a 
  • fast-paced environment with frequent change
  • Participate successfully in a team-oriented environment or work independently
  • Ability to effectively train in-person and remotely
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and accurately


Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily performed in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands for typing, filing, and other repetitive tasks. Occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Must be able to perform repetitive motions. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
