Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated iOS Engineering Intern to join ourย 12-week internship program. In this role, you will work on real-world mobile features that directly impact our community members and contribute to production iOS applications.ย You will collaborate closely with iOS, backend, product, and design teams to build intuitive, performant, and reliable mobile experiences. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience developing user-facing features, working with modern iOS technologies, and shipping code in a fast-paced fintech environment.

This role requires hybrid work from our Mountain View office, with 2 days per week in person. The internship pays $30/hour, with an expected 40 hours per week over the 12-week program. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or immigration support for this position.ย ย 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of features in EarnIn's iOS application and web surfaces
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Swift and React code following engineering best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality releases
  • Work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into intuitive mobile experiences
  • Gain exposure to modern iOS and web development paradigms and tools
  • Learn and apply best practices for performance, reliability, and usability in mobile applications

WHAT YOU'LL LEARNย

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORย 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and debugging
  • Proficiency in Swift with an interest in iOS development
  • Curiosity to learn or experience in front end web development(e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React)
  • Familiarity with mobile development concepts or iOS frameworks (e.g., UIKit or SwiftUI) is a plus
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excited to build user-facing products and improve the mobile experience for real users
  • Prior internship or project experience is a plus, but not required
