IOS Swift Developer

Visa Independent Candidates only

****Must have a one degree from US - Bachelors or Masters from an accredited college in the US

****Investment Banking OR Financial Service experience required

Position Summary

IB Domain is preferable, Cloud AWS backends. High performance responsive applications.

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled IOS Developer with deep expertise in Swift, high-performance mobile architectures, and AWS cloud-native backends. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise mobile applications servicing institutional clients, investment bankers, and high-frequency traders.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of ultra-low latency mobile engineering and complex financial systems—building responsive UIs capable of processing thousands of market ticks per second while maintaining enterprise-grade security and sub-millisecond thread execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Native Development: Architect, build, and maintain mission-critical native iOS applications using modern Swift (Swift 5.9+, Combine, SwiftUI, UIKit) adhering to clean patterns (MVVM-C, The Composable Architecture).
  • High-Throughput UI Rendering: Engineer high-frequency, responsive interfaces handling real-time tick data, live order book depth, and interactive portfolio analytics without main-thread blocking or frame drops.
  • AWS Integration & Networking: Implement robust, resilient networking layers utilizing the AWS SDK for Swift, WebSockets, RESTful APIs via AWS API Gateway, GraphQL (AWS AppSync), and intelligent offline caching.
  • Concurrency & Memory Tuning: Utilize Xcode Instruments (Time Profiler, Allocations, Leaks) to eliminate retain cycles, optimize memory usage, manage Swift Actors/async-await pipelines, and ensure maximum execution speed.
  • Financial-Grade Security: Implement end-to-end security protocols including OAuth2/OIDC via AWS Cognito, biometrics (FaceID/TouchID), hardware-backed Keychain storage, certificate pinning, and zero-trust encryption standards.
  • DevOps & Quality Assurance: Drive automated testing strategies (XCTest, XCUITest) and continuous deployment workflows via Fastlane, GitHub Actions, and AWS Device Farm.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ Years of professional native iOS development using Swift.
  • Investment Banking / Financial Domain Experience: Direct experience developing capital markets, wealth management, or high-frequency trading platforms (handling execution order books, streaming FX/equities/bonds data, portfolio risk analytics).
  • Advanced Concurrency Mastery: Expert knowledge of Swift Concurrency (async/await, TaskGroup, Actors) and Grand Central Dispatch (GCD) for lock-free, thread-safe data structures.
  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience integrating iOS applications with AWS services (AWS SDK for Swift, API Gateway, AppSync, Cognito, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
  • Reactive Frameworks: Deep experience with Combine or RxSwift for complex, high-volume event stream handling.
  • Instruments & Profiling: Advanced proficiency with Xcode Instruments for tracking allocations, CPU bottlenecks, leaks, and energy impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with streaming message protocols (WebSockets, gRPC, Protobuf).
  • Solid understanding of financial compliance requirements (Client, SEC, GDPR) and secure audit logging.
  • Custom graphics rendering experience using Metal, Core Graphics, or Swift Charts for custom market indicators.
