The work setting at Swift Therapy Center is a bustling outpatient office located in the heart of North Fort Myers. Our team operates from Monday to Friday, with a standard daily schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Understanding and adhering to state practice acts and legal guidelines that govern physical therapy practices.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, crafting individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs and functional limitations.
• Providing detailed evaluations, including reviewing patients' medical histories, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings and recommendations.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols, adjusting plans based on ongoing evaluations and patients' responses.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care, recognizing and documenting any changes requiring plan modifications.
• Managing discharge planning and follow-up care, including thorough documentation of patient progress throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Ensuring compliance with all corporate and clinical training requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Participating in facility meetings to discuss patient care strategies and team initiatives aimed at reducing barriers to access.

You will focus primarily on a diverse population of patients needing orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Your role is vital in helping these patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence through tailored therapeutic interventions.

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Valid physical therapy license in Florida.
• Two years (2) of outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Current CPR certification.

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in specialty areas of orthopedics, sports medicine, or advanced manual therapy techniques will be considered favorably. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will also enhance your application.
