Job description

Job Title: Counter Help / Cashier (Part-Time)

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule: Thursday, Friday & Saturday (additional hours as needed)

Love People? Love Desserts? We’ve Got the Job for You.

At Natabelles, we believe the only thing sweeter than our World Famous Sweet Potato Brownies is the experience our customers have when they walk through our doors. That’s where you come in.

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, upbeat, dessert-loving superstar to join our team as a Counter Help/Cashier. If you’re the kind of person who loves making someone’s day brighter (and their dessert box fuller), then this is the job for you!

Oh, and did we mention? We were just voted #1 Sweet Treat in Winston-Salem Magazine — so you’ll be serving up smiles and sweets in one of the most buzzed-about bakeries in town.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Greet every guest like they’re walking into Grandma’s kitchen — warm, welcoming, and full of joy.

  • Share the love (and the details) of our desserts — from ingredients to what makes them so crave-worthy.

  • Help customers pick their perfect treats, offer recommendations, and answer any questions with a smile.

  • Ring up orders quickly and accurately using our POS system — cash, cards, and maybe a little confetti (just kidding… sort of).

  • Package (and prepare the finishing touches) baked goods beautifully and bag them up like edible gifts.

  • Keep the counter clean, organized, and photo-ready — we’ve got a social media reputation to uphold!

  • Help slice, top, and display our sweets with pride and care (no baking experience needed — we’ll show you how).

  • Keep an eye on inventory and let the team know when we’re running low on fan favorites.

  • Pitch in with light cleaning and tidying throughout your shift — teamwork makes the dream (and the bakery) work.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A people-person with a warm personality and great energy.

  • Detail-oriented and dependable — you’ll be handling orders and cash, after all.

  • Comfortable on your feet and ready to move — it’s a busy bakery!

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and still keeps their cool.

  • A love for sweets is a big bonus (and trust us, it’s hard not to!).

  • Previous experience in retail, food service, or and POS systems is required — we’re happy to train the right person for the other details.

Availability:

We’re currently looking for help Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. More hours may be available as our bakery expands or for special orders and events. Flexibility is always a plus!

The Natabelle’s Difference:

We do hiring a little differently. Our process includes a short video screening, a group interview, and — if you’re a good fit — reference and background checks. But don’t worry: once you’re in, you’re part of the Natabelle’s family.

Ready to make life a little sweeter — for our customers and yourself?

Apply today and come be part of the dessert dream team.

Selected candidates will be invited to complete a short video interview (it's easy and can be done from your phone) and assessment before moving to the in-person interview process. Completing both steps will give your priority in the hiring process!
