Job description

We made history and now we work to transform the future - for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
Racing is where our story began.
In 1901, Henry Ford climbed into a car he built himself-"Sweepstakes"-and beat America's most famous driver. He wasn't a racer, but he had to win. He did. Ford Motor Company was born from that victory.
That fighting spirit lives on in Ford Racing today. We're the engineers, strategists, and competitors who bring Ford's track-tested edge into every vehicle we build. Every track, every stage, every proving ground-that's where we prove ourselves.
The result: one of the world's most iconic brands, legendary nameplates, and a team unmatched in the industry.
Our mantra: Race to win, engineer to lead.
If you're a competitor, innovator, or performance obsessive, Ford Racing is where you belong. Help us write the next chapter.
In this position...
  • Ford Racing is a small team of dedicated engineers who turn mainstream Ford Vehicles into extraordinary performance machines. We are looking for an engineer with prior manufacturing experience and a strong quality background to the Raptor Program / Launch STA leader.
  • Ideal candidates for this position will have experience with Program, Core and Site STA functions as well as strong technical and relationship building skills. Assessing and mitigating supply / quality risks with our supplier partners will be critical for success and significant collaboration with the Ford Racing engineering and program management teams will be required. This role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for teamwork, collaboration and technical excellence.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...
  • Be the STA Program and Launch Leader for the Raptor Programs
  • Assist the Ford Racing program management team with APQP / PPAP status on Raptor programs
  • Use standard Ford Motor Company STA tools to vet and develop both new suppliers and technologies for potential addition to SVTNA.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Ford Racing Engineering during development and validation phase to ensure Design Failure Mode execution for each engineering gateway.
  • Utilize standard STA tools to deliver robuste supplier performance across a wide range of commodities and their manufacturing processes.
  • Body Exterior Systems
  • Chassis Systems
  • Powertrain Systems
  • Advocate for our suppliers, uphold Ford behaviors and further partnerships for the long term.

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 7 plus years plant floor manufacturing experience in quality / manufacturing engineering.
  • 7 plus years STA experience in Program / Launch or Site.
  • Extensive knowledge of APQP / PPAP deliverables and understanding of failure mode avoidance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel ~33%.

Even better, you may have...
  • Masters Degree in Engineering

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
