Job description

C & S Sweeping Services, Inc. is continuing to grow and is currently seeking an experienced Dump Truck Supervisor to support our road construction operations throughout Arizona. This position is responsible for leading and supporting a team of 10 dump truck drivers while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations on roadway construction projects.

We are looking for a motivated leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. This position requires travel within Arizona for the duration of assigned projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and support dump truck drivers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
  • Review and verify driver paperwork, haul tickets, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Coordinate permits and project-related transportation requirements
  • Communicate and coordinate with inspectors, project engineers, superintendents, mechanics, and other construction personnel
  • Identify and coordinate local resources including mobile mechanics, tire repair services, and fuel stations for each project
  • Assist in planning equipment maintenance needs and parts requirements to keep operations running efficiently
  • Conduct toolbox talks and assist with training related to Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), weigh station procedures, landfill procedures, pit procedures, and company safety practices
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, and project partners
  • Operate dump trucks and haul equipment as needed, including loading, securing, and transporting heavy equipment and trailers

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • 2–5 years of experience in paving, milling, or public works/civil road construction projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of DOT compliance requirements and driver logbook procedures
  • Familiarity with ADOT contractor and on-site driver requirements preferred
  • Valid CDL required with acceptable driving record
  • Tanker endorsement preferred
  • Previous training or certifications in Reasonable Suspicion, First Aid, and MSHA are preferred; company-provided training assistance available
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel throughout Arizona as needed.
