Job description

Family Medicine Physician

The Department of Family Medicine at Endeavor Health, the principal teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks a family physician for a full-time faculty practice opportunity in Chicago's northern suburbs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching family medicine residents and medical students as well as providing care for underserved families and communities.

Academic appointment to the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine is awarded to qualified candidates commensurate with experience. Formal faculty development training is available for improving teaching skills, curriculum design, and clinical scholarship (including publication).

Faculty responsibilities will include giving didactic sessions, providing mentorship of residents as well as residency curriculum oversight. This residency faculty role will include teaching and precepting residents in adult and pediatric outpatient and inpatient care setting, which includes performing and teaching outpatient procedures, prenatal and inpatient obstetrical care.

Applicants must be board certified in Family Medicine by ABFM or AOBFP. Physicians who are from groups underrepresented in medicine are encouraged to apply. Desirable added characteristics include having Spanish-language skills.

Minimum Education Level:

  • Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required.

Minimum Licensure Requirements:

  • Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.

Minimum Certification Requirements:

  • Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.
