Job Description:
Quevera is seeking an entry-level Kubernetes Cloud Engineer to support mission-focused cloud environments running in a TS/SCI FSP setting. This exciting role is ideal for someone early in their engineering career who has foundational experience with Kubernetes, AWS services, and containerized applications. You will work closely with experienced engineers to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot production systems while building your technical skills in cloud engineering, automation, and secure operations.
REQUIRED - MUST have a current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance to apply for role. Only those with a current TS/SCI with Poly clearance will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes workloads in Amazon EKS
Support engineers in building and configuring EKS clusters, node groups, and IAM roles
Use kubectl and Helm to help deploy, update, and troubleshoot containerized applications
Provide support with basic AWS networking tasks including VPC, subnet, and security group updates
Help administer EKS add-ons such as CoreDNS, kube-proxy, and VPC CNI under guidance
Manage secrets using AWS Secrets Manager or Vault while following mission security requirements
Assist with monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana
Participate in troubleshooting efforts involving pods, deployments, and cloud resources
Support CI/CD processes and GitOps workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CLI, and ArgoCD
Document workflows, procedures, and updates to support team knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent four (4) years of hands-on experience
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance
Foundational understanding of Kubernetes concepts including pods, deployments, and services
Basic experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, IAM, or S3
Familiarity with Docker and container-based development
Exposure to monitoring or logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
Basic familiarity with CI/CD concepts or Git-based workflows
Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into more advanced engineering responsibilities
Ability to work effectively within a technical team and adapt to a mission-driven environment
Preferred Experience
Any internship, personal project, or coursework involving Kubernetes, cloud computing, or DevOps.
