Job description

As CentraCare’s enterprise leader for integrated clinical care across all disciplines, the CCO drives accountability and alignment for systemwide clinical operations, quality, safety, patient experience, clinician workforce, and academic integration across acute, ambulatory and virtual care. Remains in close partnership with the COO, the CCO supports the CEO in shaping strategy, articulating vision, and ensuring execution. The CCO shares accountability for operating performance, leads integration and standardization of care models and clinical practice, advances clinical excellence and innovation, and represents CentraCare publicly with external partners and communities. Leading the organization in quadruple aim activities as we strive to achieve top decile performance.

Works Closely With:

EVP, Chief Operating Officer (COO) & SCH President; Chief Nursing Executive (CNE), VP; Chief Information Officer (CIO), SVP; Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO); other members of the Senior Executive Cabinet (spell out other SEC members), physician and clinician leaders across the system. CentraCare’s commitment to the dyad leadership model implies the CCO partners with all senior leaders across the organization to ensure the models’ success.

Qualifications

Licensed clinician — M.D./D.O. required

Masters in business administration, or related field required within 3 years of employment start date or a Masters in healthcare administration, or other applicable relevant degree required within 3 years of employment start date

10 years of successful clinical experience with a strong track record in patient care and quality improvement.
5–7 years of progressive leadership in large, integrated health systems, including history of unifying diverse groups to achieve shared goals.

Current license to practice medicine in the state of Minnesota, for those currently licensed outside of MN (within 1 year)

Eligible for membership on CentraCare’s Medical Staff.

Board certified in appropriate medical specialty.
