Royal Caribbean Group's Corporate Resposibility Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Corporate Responsibility Data & Transformation reporting to the Dir, Corp Responsibility.
Position Summary
The Lead, Sustainability Data Systems & Transformation is responsible for owning and evolving Royal Caribbean Group's sustainability data operating model. This role focuses on strengthening data governance, internal controls, automation, and responsible application of AI to improve data quality, enable auditready sustainability reporting, and support scalable, lean operations.
The role partners closely with IT/Data and AI teams, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, and sustainability data contributors to ensure sustainability information is reliable, traceable, and decision useful. The role requires independent judgment, enterprise-wide influence, and outcome accountability without direct people management responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end sustainability data operating model, including how sustainability data is collected, governed, validated, and reported across the enterprise.
  • Design and improve sustainability data workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and reliability across reporting cycles.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the team in evolving sustainability data and systems beyond reporting and compliance, applying automation, analytics, and enabling AI to strengthen insights, decision support, and strategic planning across the business.
  • Define and maintain sustainability data governance standards, including metric definitions, ownership, stewardship, and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure sustainability data quality, completeness, traceability, and documentation across systems and disclosures.
  • Develop and strengthen internal control concepts over sustainability data in collaboration with Finance and Internal Audit to support audit and assurance readiness.
  • Govern sustainability measurement methodologies and key assumptions, including emissions factors and other calculation logic.
  • Evaluate and prioritize new sustainability metrics based on regulatory requirements, materiality, and strategic value.
  • Identify and implement responsible automation and AI use cases that improve data validation, exception management, and workflow efficiency.
  • Enable sustainability analytics to support strategy, targets, and performance management beyond static reporting.
  • Act as a crossfunctional connector between Corporate Responsibility, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, IT, and sustainability data contributors.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in sustainability/corporate reporting, sustainability data management, financial reporting, controllership, audit readiness, enterprise data governance, or a related discipline, within a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, data analytics, finance, accounting, sustainability, or a related field with strong exposure to data management and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and operating a complex data domain or product area, including translating reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Experience working with sustainability reporting and data platforms (e.g., Workiva) and enterprise data environments (e.g., Databricks or similar).
  • Experience supporting audit, assurance, due diligence, or regulatory reporting processes.
  • Experience developing analytics and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI and leveraging AI-enabled approaches to improve insight generation and decision support; SQL or similar querying experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability data governance, internal controls, and documentation practices.
  • Ability to apply financial grade rigor to sustainability data and disclosures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply complex sustainability, regulatory, and technical concepts.
