POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Content Manager leads the execution of Sunshine Gospel Ministries marketing and storytelling efforts through the creation, management, and distribution of digital content. This role integrates content production, digital marketing, and brand alignment to effectively communicate SGMs mission, programs, and impact.

This person in this role will capture and produce high quality media content, including video, photography, and audio, while managing social media, digital campaigns, website updates, and email communications. The Digital Content Manager plays a critical role in ensuring consistent, compelling, and mission aligned storytelling across all platforms.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS**

Campaign Execution & Support

  • Execute marketing campaigns for programs, events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational priorities
  • Translate campaign direction into clear deliverables across social, web, email, and advertising
  • Manage timelines and ensure all campaign assets are completed on schedule

Content Capture & Production

  • Capture high-quality photo, video, and audio content at SGM programs, campus activities, and community events
  • Edit and produce short-form and long-form video content for social media, website, campaigns, and events
  • Edit visual and audio assets for digital and print use
  • Maintain and organize a digital content library

Social Media Management

  • Manage and execute social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Plan and maintain a consistent posting schedule using a content calendar
  • Write and edit captions aligned with SGMs brand voice and storytelling guidelines
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and route inquiries appropriately
  • Analyze performance and adjust content strategy accordingly

Website Management & SEO

  • Maintain and update SGMs website, including program pages, event pages, and landing pages
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve search visibility and user engagement
  • Ensure website content reflects current messaging, branding, and organizational priorities

Analytics & Performance Reporting

  • Track and report monthly KPIs across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and website platforms
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

Marketing Collateral Development

  • Design and produce marketing materials for SGM programs and events, including flyers, digital ads, and social media graphics
  • Ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across all assets

Email Marketing

  • Manage and execute email marketing campaigns to support storytelling, events, and donor engagement
  • Maintain email lists and implement basic automation workflows
  • Optimize email performance through testing and analysis

Storytelling & Content Development

  • Develop and publish 1-2 stories per month for SGMs website, highlighting program impact and community transformation
  • Gather content through interviews, staff collaboration, or field observation
  • Write and/or edit stories to reflect SGMs voice, values, and storytelling standards
  • Repurpose stories across multiple platforms, including newsletters, social media, and campaigns

Collaboration & Brand Stewardship

  • Serve as a steward of SGMs brand, ensuring all communications reflect organizational voice, tone, and values
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify storytelling opportunities and content needs
  • Support staff in adhering to brand and communication guidelines

Culture

  • Attends in-person Staff meetings and events.
  • Represents SGM as needed at external events, meetings, working groups, etc. leading to relationship building on behalf of the organization.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned with a heart of service.

RELATED DUTIES

This position requires a flexible work schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends.


EDUCATION SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 35 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or media production
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in tools for audio editing such as Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, or equivalent
  • Experience managing social media platforms, digital campaigns, and website content

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk and/or sit; use hands to fingers or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must be able to bend, stoop, pull, push, lift, and have an overhead extension of arms. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift, carry, or move at least 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a public building and/or outdoors and thus will be exposed to prevalent weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but, at times, can be high.
