To thrive as a Surveyor Intern, you need a solid understanding of mathematics, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret maps and blueprints, often supported by or working toward a degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with surveying equipment like total stations, GPS devices, and CAD software is typically required, and some employers may prefer interns who have completed relevant coursework or basic certification programs.
