Job description

We're looking for a Survey Crew Member to join the HMB team in Tennessee!

Assist the Surveyor and survey crew in performing field surveys for roadways, bridges, utilities, and related infrastructure projects.
  Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including GPS units, total stations, data collectors, and levels.
  Hold and position survey rods, prisms, and other equipment to obtain accurate measurements.
  Drive survey vehicles to and from job sites and ensure proper care of company equipment.
  Clear brush and debris as needed to establish line-of-sight for survey measurements.
  Set stakes, hubs, and markers to designate grades, alignments, and reference points.
  Record field notes and support documentation efforts as directed by the Crew Chief or Surveyor.
  Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety standards at all times.
  Work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in surveying or construction preferred.
  Basic knowledge of surveying principles and field procedures is a plus.
  Ability to operate or learn to operate survey equipment and technology.
  Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
  Valid driver's license required.
  Occasional travel required.
  Good communication skills and attention to detail.
