Land Survey Crew / Party Chief

Associated Engineering – Jonesboro, Arkansas

Job Summary

Associated Engineering is seeking an experienced Land Survey Crew / Party Chief to lead field survey crews and perform a variety of surveying projects throughout the Jonesboro, AR area.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Party Chief and hands-on experience operating Trimble surveying equipment. This is a field-based position requiring someone who can work independently, lead a crew, and maintain a strong commitment to accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a land survey crew with minimal field supervision.
  • Perform and oversee lot and tract surveys.
  • Conduct topographic surveys.
  • Perform site construction layout.
  • Perform roadway construction layout.
  • Operate and utilize Trimble surveying equipment in the field.
  • Ensure survey work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members, project managers, clients, and other field personnel.
  • Work safely and professionally across a variety of terrain and outdoor conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Party Chief is required.
  • Previous hands-on experience with Trimble surveying equipment is required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lead a survey crew with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
  • Ability to work across various types of terrain.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate fieldwork.
