Job description

Our company is looking or Full Time Security Monitoring Agents to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Empyreal's security systems and provide general security systems support to company users in multiple locations.

Position Summary

The Security Monitoring Agent (SMA) provides live surveillance of Empyreal facilities and vehicles. This includes monitoring, troubleshoot, and maintain Empyreal's security systems and provide general security systems support to company users in multiple locations. This includes ensuring that facility and vehicle communications, tracking, monitoring, and access systems are operational, online, and properly maintained. The Security Monitor is tasked with the monitoring, documentation, and identification of any and all suspicious activity, including monitoring the patterns of people in and around Empyreal facilities and vehicles. The primary focus is to ensure the safe and secure transport and processing of client assets. This position is located in Englewood, just a short ride from Park Meadows Mall.

Shifts Per Week: 5 8Hr Shifts (availability to work overtime if necessary)

This role will be to cover vacation and other time off for all shifts โ€“ schedules are posted at least one week in advance for each 2-week period.

This Security Operations Center is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week with three shifts:

  • Morning Shift (6:00am-2:30pm)
  • Swing Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
  • Night Shift (10:00pm- 6:30am)

Major responsibilities are as follows:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain facility and vehicle tracking, security, and systems to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
  • Maintain safe and secure vehicle and facility environments with the goal of ensuring that all employees work and return home safely.
  • View and monitor facility and vehicle remote surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot remote connectivity to facility and vehicle communications, tracking, security, and camera systems.
  • Ensure mobile device tracking and security systems are communicating properly.
  • Manage and maintain vehicle communication, access, and tracking systems through effective utilization of physical and electronic locking and tracking software and mechanisms.
  • Monitor and verify personnel, vendor, and visitor access to Empyreal facilities.
  • Coordinate extensively with on-site operations and personnel, such as the logistics and cash services management units.
  • Provide incident summary reports to Security Systems Administrator and other Empyreal executive staff as required.
  • Respond to security system support requests from branch personnel.
  • Interact and consult with Security Systems Administrator in the design, deployment and maintenance of facility and vehicle tracking and security systems and equipment.
  • Ensure facility security cameras are operational and configured properly to ensure efficient and accurate video footage.
  • Communicate with security system vendors and recommend improvements, upgrades and changes to facility and vehicle tracking and security systems.
  • Provide facility and vehicle tracking and security system support to branch personnel.
  • Search, access, transfer and archive facility and vehicle footage, as necessary.
  • Facilitate the transfer of video footage to branch personnel, clients and/or law enforcement as necessary or as authorized by Empyreal executive team.
  • Ensure security systems are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by deploying and verifying established systems security procedures.
  • Document and bookmark any incidents or injuries making notes of the occurrence and circumstances around them.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity, dignity, and standards both on an internal and external basis; maintain high ethical standards and protect the Empyreal's reputation by delivering high quality, reliable programs, and services which meet customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college coursework is preferred.
  • Two plus years of experience in using, installing, administering, and maintaining security systems and surveillance equipment is essential.
  • Knowledge of security architecture, security policies and procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft windows-based hardware and software, Google Android-based mobile devices, GPS tracking systems, facility security access systems, security access systems, and other security devices, equipment, and peripherals is needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, clients, vendors, and service providers is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act quickly, effectively, and with integrity is of utmost important.
  • Must have excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent recall and retention of information is needed.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret written and verbal instructions and reports.
  • Knowledge of CCTV and Access control systems.
