Job Summary and Qualifications

​​The Imaging Student Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care skills while gaining practical experience and knowledge in imaging principles. Under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist, the Imaging Student Extern prepares for and assists with imaging procedures, in accordance with the Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department. The Imaging Student Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of radiography and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.​ 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiology 
  • Preference will be given to students who have completed their 1st year of the Radiology program
