Job description

Job Title: Travel RN - Med-Surg Float Pool
Location: Syracuse, NY 13202
Duration: 2+ months (possible extension)
Shift - 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with every other weekend
Pay range - $65/hr. - $70/hr. ($2200/week - $2400/week )
Job Summary:
Client is hiring a Travel Med-Surg Float Pool RN to provide flexible, high-quality care across multiple units within the hospital. Candidates must have Epic EMR experience and either:
  • 1 year experience with a passing score on a competency test
    OR
  • 2 years of overall Med-Surg experience (no test required).
  • A competency test will be sent via HSH to the candidate's email within 48 .
Basic Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient-centered Med-Surg care across different units based on staffing needs
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary staff, and care coordinators
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
  • Float across multiple Med-Surg units as required
  • Manage medication administration and patient education
Skills & Requirements:
  • Epic EMR Experience (Required)
Experience:
  • 1 year in with a competency test
  • OR 2 years of experience without testing requirement
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, active RN license
  • Certifications: AHA BLS required.
