Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Adult Med/Surg Float Pool at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN.
The Adult Med/Surg Float Pool RN will provide care to medical surgical adult patients with medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. This unique department is a specialty group comprised of dedicated nurses that support patient care throughout the hospital. At the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center, we are committed to delivering outstanding healthcare in a setting where we specialize in innovation. We continually aim to improve our patients' lives by delivering outstanding outcomes using groundbreaking technology and treatments while balancing patient needs. Our partnership with the University of Minnesota Medical School and University of Minnesota Physicians provides the platform to specialize in breakthrough treatments, surgical techniques, lifesaving therapies and clinical trials to bring the newest insights to patient care. We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.
Schedule: This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the night shift with an every third weekend rotation (F,S,S) and a holiday rotation.

The RN is responsible and accountable for patient assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention application, and the identification and evaluation of outcomes for patients of all ages and populations. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act:

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid RN License from MN Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • 1 year of Telemetry Experience
  • 1 year of Peripheral IV start experience
  • 1 year of Emergency Department, Intermediate, or Progressive Care Unit Experience
