Surgery scheduling refers to the process of organizing and coordinating all aspects of a surgical procedure, including booking the operating room, arranging the surgical team, and ensuring that the patient and all necessary equipment are ready for the operation. Surgery schedulers must work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other staff to avoid conflicts and delays. They also communicate with patients to provide instructions and confirm appointments, making this role essential for smooth and efficient surgical operations.
