To provide organized access to the advance elective schedule in a manner that facilitates use of resources for patient, surgeons and Methodist Hospitals. Captures and communicates information related to patient, procedure and customer needs as essential to effective preparation.

- Coordinates information and accesses to the surgical schedule.
- Functions as an advocate for customer needs; utilizing Chain of Command when unable to meet needs, resolves conflict or concerns.
- Maintains trusting relationships with customers and Methodist staff facilitating cooperation among block and open time users.
- Provides data and report related to block utilization and other managerial assessment of activity.
- Provides information, direction and support as needed to surgeons, surgeon's office staff and others as appropriate to utilize emergent, urgent, add-on and other models of access to surgical resources.

- Ability to input and manage electronic data.
