Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1 year medical office scheduling or 1-2 years administration experience or clinical experience (CNA, MA, EMT), preferably in an orthopedic setting.

Essential Functions
    • Schedules surgeries within established timelines and creates all related pre- and post-operative appointments.
    • Establishes interdepartmental communication to ensure timely and accurate scheduling
    • Maintains precise, organized records within the EMR and practice-management systems
    • Clearly communicates all clinical and surgical process instructions to patients.
    • Ensures all systems and teams are updated with any edited, cancelled, or rescheduled cases
    • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Must communicate professionally and effectively with physicians, patients, and internal departments
  • Adhere to established scheduling timelines.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail with strong follow-through and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with medical terminology, the insurance authorization process, and EMR systems is preferable
EDUCATION
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
