Addison Group is partnering with a growing specialty medical practice seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating patient care, working closely with providers and surgical facilities, and ensuring procedures are scheduled efficiently from start to finish.

Job Description

The Surgery Scheduler will coordinate surgical procedures by working directly with patients, providers, and healthcare facilities. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases while ensuring all required documentation and clearances are obtained prior to surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule surgical procedures with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and providers.
  • Coordinate surgery dates and communicate appointment details with patients.
  • Obtain all required medical clearances prior to scheduled procedures.
  • Work closely with physician offices, surgical facilities, and patients to ensure procedures are scheduled accurately.
  • Update patient information and surgery details within the EMR system.
  • Answer patient questions regarding surgery scheduling and preparation.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling documentation and patient records.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless scheduling process.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of surgery scheduling experience required.
  • GI (Gastroenterology) experience preferred but candidates from other medical specialties are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience coordinating surgeries within a physician practice or specialty clinic.
  • Experience using eClinicalWorks (ECW) preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office.
