Job description

The Surfside Grill Lead is responsible for supporting daily operations, maintaining service standards, training team members, and serving as a key communication link between Front of House, Back of House, and management.
The Surfside Grill Lead is responsible for the following:
  1. Maintain full-time availability in Surfside Grill, including opening and closing shifts as needed.
  2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and ability to perform all Surfside Grill positions and duties.
  3. Manage and organize ordering for dry storage and operational supplies through BirchStreet and/or IMF.
  4. Assist with onboarding and training new hires, including uniforms, name tags, lockers, orientation, and departmental procedures.
  5. Complete and distribute the daily Manager Report.
  6. Train, coach, and mentor team members to ensure consistency in service standards and operational execution.
  7. Maintain strong communication with Front of House, Back of House, interns, managers, and directors regarding daily operations, staffing needs, and member concerns.
  8. Work with manager to ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and club policies.
  9. Handle member concerns and service recovery situations professionally, communicating relevant information to management and culinary teams as needed.
  10. Create and print operational signage as needed, including daily specials, menus, event notices, and other communication materials.
  11. Support managers in maintaining organization, cleanliness, preparedness, and overall operational excellence within Surfside Grill.

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
