SMT Machine Operator โ€“ 2nd Shift

The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring SMT equipment used in the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role ensures components are accurately placed, equipment operates efficiently, and products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor SMT production equipment.
  • Load feeders with electronic components and verify proper placement.
  • Perform machine changeovers and basic equipment adjustments.
  • Monitor production runs to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and notify maintenance or supervisors when needed.

Quality Control

  • Inspect printed circuit boards for proper component placement and solder quality.
  • Perform visual inspections throughout the production process.
  • Identify, document, and report defects or non-conforming products.
  • Follow quality standards, work instructions, and production specifications.

Production Support

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Replenish materials and components as needed to support production.
