Developer Solution Architect, IncubationJob Description

Axis is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Developer Solution Architectto join our growing Incubation team in the Americas. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the evaluation and adoption of a new developer-focused data pipeline service.

Positioned at the intersection of Strategy, Product, Developer Services, and Partner Success, this is a high-impact role focused on enabling developer success and shaping early-stage product direction. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in cloud platforms, SaaS, or developer services companies, ideally in a pre-sales, solution architecture, or developer relations/advocacy capacity combined with a passion for working directly with developers to accelerate adoption and deliver meaningful product insights.

This is an onsite role is based in our Chelmsford, MA office and there is flexibility to work remotely one day a week.

Who is your future team?

You will be part of the Incubation team, a cross-functional group focused on evaluating, refining, and bringing innovative solutions to market. The team collaborates closely with Product Management, Developer Services, and Go-to-Market stakeholders to ensure successful product validation and adoption. This team operates in a fast-paced, exploratory environment where feedback loops, experimentation, and developer engagement are critical to success.

What you'll do here as a Developer Solution Architect?

  • Drive the evaluation and adoption of a new developer-focused data pipeline service

  • Lead developer onboarding and evaluation processes, guiding prospects through setup, testing, and early production use

  • Support hands-on proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot programs to accelerate time-to-value

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor during the evaluation phase

  • Serve as the "voice of the developer" by identifying friction points, gaps, and opportunities

  • Analyze and document recurring challenges across the developer journey, including platform and service limitations

  • Deliver structured feedback and evaluation summaries to Product and Leadership teams

  • Enhance developer experience by improving onboarding flows, documentation, and technical resources

  • Develop reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, scripts, and sample implementations

  • Support developer workshops and technical enablement initiatives

  • Partner with Go-to-Market teams to create technical narratives, demos, and proof points for developers, ISVs, and system integrators

  • Contribute to reporting on program progress, KPIs, and emerging opportunities

  • Represent Axis at industry events, trade shows, and developer forums

What are we looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Proficiency working with APIs, data pipelines, and developer tools

  • Ability to quickly understand and clearly explain complex technical systems

  • Experience supporting developer-facing products or services (e.g., SaaS platforms, APIs)

  • A problem-solving mindset with a passion for working directly with developers

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify true product gaps versus feature requests

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to translate detailed technical feedback into executive-level insights

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and outcome-oriented approach to work

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and early-stage environments

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud-based software development environments

  • Experience contributing to or supporting incubation or early-stage product initiatives (preferred)

  • Background in data services, computer vision, or AI/ML pipelines (preferred)

Pay range:

The approximate pay range for this location and position is $140,000 - 165,000 OTE. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
