Job description

Account Manager (Distribution)
Location: Vienna, OH
Pay Rate: $25 - $27 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM on site
Leading metal distribution company located in Vienna, OH is in need of an Account Manager to join the team! This individual will serve as the liaison between the customer and organization and anticipate custom needs, resolving issues and ensuring alignment across scheduling, inventory, pricing, etc.
Duties:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution
  • Manage day-to-day account activities with full ownership and accountability
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions related to scheduling, inventory, pricing, and forecasts
  • Evaluate reserved materials and manage replenishment to meet immediate and future customer requirements
  • Monitor demand changes and implement proactive measures to prevent material shortages
  • Propose and implement non-critical master data or order detail changes, with appropriate approvals
  • Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, planning, inventory, technical, pricing) to resolve customer issues quickly
  • Analyze activity reports and message queues daily to identify and resolve errors; implement permanent corrective actions
  • Create and modify data warehouse reports to support account management and decision-making
  • Maintain accurate and detailed customer account documentation
  • Conduct proactive outreach to support customer relationships and business growth strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, quality, and regulatory policies
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of customer account management experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills
