Position Summary:

The supply chain team leader is responsible for creating and maintaining a feasible 4 week frozen schedule for their designated business unit(s). They work closely with the production floor and their detail planners to ensure timely execution of this schedule and help mitigate any supply disruptions to the market. SCTLs are responsible for attaining key performance indicators – Backorder ($), Inventory ($), Order line fill Rate (OLFR), and Master Production Schedule Adherence (MPSA).

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Assists the Supervisor in leading a group of peers/subordinates largely in coordination of work which may include materials loading, production functions, maintenance functions and training/mentoring.
  • This may be done at different organizational levels.
  • Performs normal base job functions in area of expertise when requested.
  • The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

General:

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Provides direct or supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals. Accountabilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 04-06 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
