Job description

PURPOSE

Our organization is currently undergoing a major transformation. We are engaged in a significant plant relocation project-an important strategic milestone that marks a new phase of growth and operational optimization.

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) plays a critical role in driving service excellence and operational performance. The Supply Chain Manager drives service performance, manages inventory efficiency, drives S&OP alignment, and supports seamless onboarding of new business initiatives.

The SCM oversees the end-to-end coordination of order fulfillment, ensuring the efficient conversion of customer orders into timely and accurate deliveries. This includes production planning, purchasing, warehousing and logistics.

The role requires strong leadership to ensure high performance across demand planning, scheduling, and logistics, while fostering alignment between supply and demand and strengthening collaboration with customers and suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, develop, and engage the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Support talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Monitor and report on supply chain performance, using key metrics such as OTIF, service levels, inventory turnover, DIO, stockouts, and slow-moving materials. Prepare and present monthly management reports, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to support both strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations by overseeing the full order fulfillment cycle, from procurement to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with customer expectations. Drive high service levels while optimizing cost, lead times, and resource utilization.
  • Own the planning function, ensuring strong alignment between demand forecasts, production capacity, and material availability. Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to support informed decision-making and operational stability.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that balance cost efficiency, quality, and supply reliability. Build strong supplier partnerships and actively manage performance to ensure continuity and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inventory and materials management, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence. Ensure inventory accuracy and effective control across all stages of the supply chain.
  • Manage and optimize warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and transportation of goods. Continuously optimize distribution networks and transportation costs while maintaining service excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes by implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and Just-in-Time methodologies. Focus on simplifying operations, reducing waste, and improving overall performance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management
  • Proven leadership experience in team management and development
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG environment is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
