Summary
Novus Foods is growing and seeking a Material Planner to support our dynamic production facilities. The material planner will be responsible for ensuring that the materials needed for production are available on time and in the right quantities, coordinating between purchasing, production, and suppliers to meet demand efficiently. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and qualifications for a material planner.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials and packaging to avoid production delays while minimizing excess inventory.

Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, handle supply disruptions, and negotiate delivery schedules when needed.

Production Scheduling Support: Work closely with production planners to align material availability with production schedules, helping to optimize workflow and resource use.

Demand Forecasting: Analyze demand forecasts and production plans to anticipate material needs and adjust orders accordingly.

Order Management: Place orders for materials based on production needs, monitor the order process, and follow up on outstanding orders to avoid shortages.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Track inventory and procurement metrics, analyze material usage trends, and report on KPIs such as stock levels, material costs, and supply chain efficiency.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management, supplier performance, and order accuracy.

Master data maintenance: Maintain material master data attributes such as MOQ, rounding values, cost, lead time

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, concentration in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistic or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or inventory management.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and Excel
  • Excellent communication, negotiation abilities, and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with supply chain principles, production processes, and just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing
