Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off ย ย 

Job Description:ย 

The Specialist, Supply Chain Management position provides Supply Chain/Material Management (SC/MM) representation and support of Business Unit and Business Development activities. They are responsible for effectively guiding the SC/MM functional organization to develop and document strategies, plans, and processes to manage the supply chain for integration into the Program Management plan. They may manage projects or processes with general supervision.ย ย They work directly with Program Management and may act as the primary customer contact for the Supply Chain portion of the program activities. They represent procurement on the program integrated program teams (IPTs) and interface cross functionally in the resolution of material status, problems or issues.ย ย 

Essential Functions:ย 

  • Assemble and lead integrated cross functional team(s) within assigned program(s) while interacting with supplier(s), supply chain director, program managers, functional managers, and customers to achieve subcontract cost,ย scheduleย and technicalย objectives.ย ย 
  • Support the Supply Chainย portionย of development and production proposals, including planning and execution of affordability, supplierย qualityย and other supplier performance improvement initiative, beingย submittedย to Government and Prime Contractor programs.ย ย 
  • Support negotiation of subcontracts andย assistย in the development of supplier baseline program plans including development of supplier budget and schedule baselines, consistent with program plans.ย ย 
  • Prepare presentations and lead teams in presentations to peers, customers,ย suppliersย and managers.ย ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supply chain experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related supply chain experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related supply chain experience.ย ย 
  • 2 years of expeirence with CAD.

Preferred Additional Skills:ย 

  • Contract negotiations with critical suppliers that are often single or sole sourced based on technology.ย 
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing,ย assemblyย and ATP processes.
  • Ability to use technical knowledge and experience to evaluate plans, processes and results of the supporting team.ย 
  • Experience interpreting program management, engineering and supplier demands in a continuously changing environment.ย ย 
  • Working knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment including program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting and Earned Value Management.ย ย 
  • Ability to implement product design and development stage gate process (reviews for design, build, and test).ย 
  • Experience inย coaching, guiding, encouraging,ย reviewingย and criticizing work of supporting team members to maximize program success.ย 
  • Capable of defining and negotiating taskย objectives, scopeย descriptionย and completion criteria for specific and broad activities.ย ย 
  • Abilityย to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and to make real-time plan adjustments in response to problems and unexpected interim results.ย 
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint (presentations, logic diagrams), MS Project (basic scheduling), MS Excel (entering formulas, graphing, developing spreadsheets), and MS Word (tables, program plans).ย ย
