Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Reports to: Director of Operations

Job Purpose: Parker Offshore, LLC, a premier manufacturer of fiberglass boats, is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee the procurement of materials, supplies, and services that support production and operations. The ideal candidate will drive cost efficiency, maintain quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of critical materials in alignment with production schedules and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of raw materials, components, and services.

· Maintain optimal inventory levels while reducing waste and excess inventory.

· Source and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

· Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.

· Collaborate with production, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material needs and budget for purchasing.

· Monitor purchase orders, delivery timelines, and backorders to ensure production schedules are not disrupted.

· Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with company standards.

· Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

· Oversee purchasing and supply staff and support their professional development.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship management skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems (experience with ADP, Paylocity, or marine industry-specific systems a plus).

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead a team, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

· Office environment with frequent visits to the production floor.

· Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally

· Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary

· Occasional travel to suppliers or trade shows may be required

· This is a safety-sensitive position

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory including but not limited to safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.

Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their workday. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
