Job description

Responsibilities:

Ensures the kitchens, freezers, bars, and storage areas are clean, well maintained and organized at all times.
Ensures floors are dry, clean, and sanitized at all times.
Operates pot-washing machinery and maintains a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
Delivers clean china, glassware and silverware to cook’s or server’s stations. Delivers pots and pans to cooking stations for service.
Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation and transports to the dumpsters following established procedures.
Disposes of waste as per the company guidelines. Maintains a clean, sanitary trash dumping area to avoid odors.
Empties, cleans and disinfects drains and grease traps.
Carries out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers.
Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.
Cleans and disinfects food preparation surfaces.
Cleans and polishes metal, aluminum, glass and other surfaces.
Ensures a safe, clean and sanitary work environment.
Cleans large equipment as assigned, following established procedures.

Adheres to the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to ensure the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
Ensures all equipment is clean and in good working order.
Checks all chemical levels and inventory.
Washes, wipes, sorts, stacks dishes, and loads/unloads dishwasher.
Washes, wipes, sorts, stacks, and stores all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
Removes from circulation any broke or chipped items found. Updates the breakage and inventory register.
Clean, sanitizes, and closes workstations.
Uses and maintains all equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines.
Collects dirty towels from the kitchens and replenishes them with clean towels.
Reports any maintenance or hazard issues to the Steward Supervisor or Sous Chef.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
Work steadily and accurately paying attention to detail.
Works rapidly and accurately.
Performs various kitchen duties based on business and operations.
