Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Department: Golf

Reports To: Retail Manager Director of Golf

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Position Summary:

The Member Services teams at Suntree Country Club, in Melbourne, FL, pride themselves in going the extra mile to ensure members and their guests receive the absolute best in personal service and support. We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate for our Golf Pro Shop to provide our members and their guests with a service that goes above and beyond expectations.


Primary Job Functions:

  • Assist members and guests and create a fun and comfortable shopping experience.
  • Assist and follow up with members and guests on special orders and all other retail needs.
  • Suggest selections that meet customers’ needs and emphasize selling points of articles such as quality and value.
  • Assist in merchandising and creating new, interesting, and visually pleasing displays, by maintaining a pristine shop appearance and continually folding and straightening merchandise displays.
  • Have full knowledge of tournaments and events and be able to answer member questions pertaining to the events.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts, trunk shows, and special shopping events.
  • Gift-wrap merchandise for customers.
  • Answers telephone according to company standard operating procedure.
  • Assists in booking tee times and signing up for the club golf events as needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years prior retail and/or hospitality, and customer service experience preferred.
  • Computer experience is necessary.
  • Must be efficient, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to take direction to complete tasks without the need for managerial follow-up.
  • Must have a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and uniform policies.
  • Ability to work weekends, and some holidays, lift stock or objects weighing more than 25 pounds and be on your feet for an entire shift from 4-8 hours.
  • Willingness and ability to become proficient in Club Essentials POS system.
  • Would like an outgoing, friendly, and professional personality and be able to communicate clearly and be patient and courteous with members, guests, and co-workers.
